The 2010 Brighton Jetty Classic has finished. A fantastic race, congratulations to James Fennell for his 3rd consecutive victory and Kallie Rump, the 2009 Open mens and Open Womens Champions.

Fast Lap

What is the Fast Lap?

The Fast Lap is a premium sprint race around the Jetty with cash prizes. The race is aimed at elite swimmers.

  • To qualify for this event nominate a 200m freestyle time and enter your name, phone number and/or email address on the Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic Web site: Entries. (Note: entries open for BJC 2010 on 1st November 2009).

  • The Brighton Jetty Classic Race Committee will select a maximum of 25 male and 25 female swimmers for this race.

  • For Fast Lap consideration swimmers must be registered in the FIVEaa Jetty 400 Event or Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic 1500 Event.

  • If a swimmer chooses to do both the 1500 and the Fast Lap then they will need to pay $35 for each race.

  • If a swimmer is already entered into the FIVEaa Jetty 400 Event then this can be swapped over to the Fast Lap.

  • If a swimmer chooses to do both their own age in the FIVEaa Jetty 400 and if accepting into the Fast Lap as well, then they will need to pay $35 for each race or $25 with no T/Shirt.

  • Those who have been chosen for the fast lap will be notified by Wednesday the 3rd February by email or phone and payment will be required.
